The coastline of Los Silos is volcanic, carved by lava flows where the Atlantic has sculpted natural seawater pools, traditional bathing spots for the locals. The shoreline, stretching towards Sibora and neighbouring Interián, combines pebble beaches, natural pools and a singular ethnographic heritage: water mills such as the Daute Mill, old lime kilns and the Telegraph House, remnants of coastal life and economy. It is a perfect stretch for walks beside the ocean, to watch the swell breaking against the black rock and for quiet swims when the sea allows. The seafront promenade, presided over by the whale skeleton, brings together nature, history and the salt breeze of the Isla Baja in a relaxed, uncrowded setting.
