The Sendero de los Sentidos starts from Cruz del Carmen, next to the Visitor Center of the Anaga Rural Park, and follows an ancient Royal Road through the laurel forest (monteverde), a relic of subtropical forest of great ecological value. It is designed as an interpretative and sensory route, with panels inviting you to perceive nature through sight, smell, touch, and hearing. It is organized into three sections: the first two of low difficulty and the third of low-medium difficulty (with sections of steep slope).
The first, about 400 meters long, is adapted with a wooden walkway for people with reduced mobility and strollers; the second (around 500 meters) adds stairs, a bridge, and an elevated walkway; and the third, the longest (about 1,272 meters), goes into the monteverde and presents steeper slopes in its second half. The environment, often covered in fog, is populated with moss-covered trees, ferns, and abundant endemic vegetation, making it ideal for families.
