La Noria Street is one of the foundational roads of Santa Cruz, located in the historic center next to the Church of Nuestra Señora de la Concepción. It is one of the oldest streets in the city, urbanized in the first third of the 16th century (land distribution between 1502 and 1525), with traditional Canarian houses from the later colonial period (18th-19th centuries). Its name comes from the old waterwheels and wells opened to capture water from the Barranco de los Santos after the arrival of Alonso Fernández de Lugo in 1496.

Restored by the City Council, today it hosts more than a dozen terraces, taverns, and restaurants that serve beers and tapas during the day and transform into bars with music at night. It maintains a strong connection with the chicharrero Carnival, as it houses the headquarters and rehearsals of historic murgas such as NiFú-NiFá or Triqui Traques. It is just a few meters from Plaza de España and the Museum of Nature and Archaeology.
