Tandem Paragliding FlightNo prior experience neededTake-offs from Ifonche or Taucho (Adeje)

Tandem paragliding in Adeje takes off from two mountain areas over Costa Adeje: Taucho, at about 700-800 m, the most commonly used point for beginners in tandem flights, and Ifonche, higher (around 1,000 m) and next to the Barranco del Infierno. Depending on the point and the wind, the flight lasts approximately between 15 and 25 minutes, flying over ravines, mountains, and the southern coast with the ocean in the background. Landings are usually made near the coast, in areas like Playa Paraiso or La Enramada beach (in La Caleta), depending on conditions.

The complete experience lasts around 1-1.5 hours including transfers, and no prior experience is required: you fly with a professional pilot who carries all the equipment. Like any aerial activity, it depends on the wind, so both the flight and the take-off location are confirmed on the same day according to the weather.

Essential information

Accessibility

The take-off points (Taucho, at about 700-800 m, and Ifonche, around 1,000 m) are mountain areas above Costa Adeje accessible by road, without practical public transport to the launch; therefore, operators include vehicle transfer from a meeting point (and often pick-up from hotels in the south area) to the take-off and return, and the specific site is confirmed on the same day according to the wind.

Risk Level

It is a high-altitude flight (take-offs from 700 to 1,000 m) dependent on the wind: fly only with licensed professional pilots and with insurance, respect the weight limit (around 100 kg) and accept that the flight may be canceled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not safe.
