Playa Diego Hernández
Updated 2 August 2026
Playa Diego Hernández is a wild and minimally urbanized cove located in the municipality of Adeje, in the area of La Caleta, just below the Costa Adeje Golf Course. It measures approximately 80 meters of usable beach (up to about 200 meters in total length according to some sources) by about 25 meters wide, significantly reducing with high tide, with golden sand and turquoise, calm waters, and offers views towards the island of La Gomera. It is only accessible on foot via a dirt path (or by sea), and it is completely devoid of equipment, surveillance, and beach bars, making it one of the most unspoiled beaches in the south of Tenerife.
It has a bohemian atmosphere and nudism is common, although it is not an official naturist beach. It is advisable to visit it at low tide, as at high tide there is barely any space left on the sand.
