In the Canary Islands, the bus is called "guagua." TITSA operates hundreds of lines connecting the airport, the southern tourist areas, Santa Cruz, La Laguna, Puerto de la Cruz, and Teide. Purchase the ten+ card (rechargeable) at stations, kiosks, and shops: with it, the ticket is much cheaper than paying in cash, and transfers are free for a while. A single card can be used for several people.

Useful lines for tourists: 343 (airports ↔ south), 111 (Santa Cruz ↔ Costa Adeje via highway), and 342 (Costa Adeje ↔ Teide/El Portillo). From the north, 348 (Puerto de la Cruz ↔ Teide). Check schedules on the TITSA app, as some mountain lines have few frequencies.
