Santa Cruz de Tenerife Carnival
The second largest carnival in the world, surpassed only by Rio de Janeiro. Weeks of parades, music, spectacular costumes, election of the Carnival Queen and the burial of the sardine. The entire island stops to celebrate this unique festival.
Puerto de la Cruz Carnival
The second most important carnival in Tenerife after Santa Cruz. More intimate and local, with street parades, comparsas, murgas, queen election and the traditional burial of the sardine. The atmosphere is more personal and authentic, with Puerto locals dressing up and dancing through the streets of the historic center.
San Marcos Pilgrimage - Tegueste
One of the most colorful and crowded pilgrimages in Tenerife. Thousands of people dressed in traditional Canarian costumes accompany typical carts decorated with flowers and loaded with farm products through the streets of Tegueste. Folk music, Canarian dances, local wine and traditional food in an unmatched festive atmosphere.

Spettacolare rivalità pirotecnica tra via El Medio e via El Sol, nel quartiere di Cruz Santa (Los Realejos), che offrono fiori e fuochi d'artificio alla Croce. Con oltre 250 anni di tradizione, è uno dei più grandi spettacoli pirotecnici d'Europa ed è stato dichiarato Festa di Interesse Turistico Nazionale (2015). San Isidro Labrador Pilgrimage - Los Realejos
One of the most popular pilgrimages in Tenerife honoring San Isidro Labrador, patron saint of farmers. Decorated carts pulled by oxen parade through the streets of Los Realejos, accompanied by hundreds of pilgrims dressed in traditional Canarian costumes (traje de mago). Live folk music, local wine tasting and traditional Canarian food.
Saint John's Night - Bonfires
The most magical night of the year in Tenerife. On June 23rd, beaches across the island fill with bonfires, music and celebration. Tradition calls for jumping over the flames for purification, swimming in the sea at midnight and burning papers with wishes. Celebrated in all coastal towns of Tenerife, from southern to northern beaches.
Corpus Christi in La Orotava
The famous flower and volcanic sand carpets from Teide that cover the streets of La Orotava historic center. Declared a Festival of National Tourist Interest. The central carpet in the Town Hall Square is the worlds largest made with volcanic soils.

Festival of the Virgin of Candelaria
The most important religious celebration in the Canary Islands. Thousands of pilgrims walk from across the island to the Basilica of Candelaria to venerate the patron saint of the archipelago. On the night of August 14th a spectacular torchlight procession takes place.

Festival of Our Lady of Remedies
Festa patronale in onore di Nostra Signora dei Rimedi, patrona di Buenavista del Norte dal 1659, che commemora la fine di una piaga di locuste. Il giorno principale è il 25 ottobre e le celebrazioni si estendono approssimativamente dal 17 ottobre al 2 novembre. La processione è terrestre fino alla Cruz de Toledo e si svolge solo ogni cinque anni per commemorare il miracolo.
