Paisaje Lunar (Paisaje Lunar de Vilaflor)
Updated 2 August 2026
The Lunar Landscape of Vilaflor, also known as Los Escurriales, is a set of delicate light-toned conical pinnacles sculpted by erosion on pumice slopes (volcanic ash). This formation originated from the whitish deposits of a violent explosive eruption, shaped over time by erosion, within the Corona Forestal Natural Park in the municipality of Vilaflor de Chasna. It is reached by the approved trail PR-TF 72, a circular route of about 12.9 km that starts from the center of Vilaflor following the historic Camino Real de Chasna, with more than 500 years of history.
The route crosses Canarian pine forest and a viewpoint allows you to contemplate the entire set of formations.
