La Playa de la Jaquita is located in the town of Alcalá, in the municipality of Guía de Isora, in the southwest of Tenerife. It is a semi-urban beach with black volcanic sand, formed by three small coves protected by volcanic rock formations, interspersed with natural pools that expand swimming options. This entire stretch of coastline can be explored on foot via the Gabriel Escarrer Promenade, located behind the Gran Meliá Palacio de Isora hotel.

It offers services such as showers, toilets, changing rooms, a lifeguard and first aid station, accessibility for people with reduced mobility, and sunbed and umbrella rentals, as well as a children's area.

Essential information

Accessibility

Access is via the Alcalá Promenade, behind the Gran Meliá Palacio de Isora hotel; parking is available nearby and there is a connection by intercity bus (TITSA).

Risk Level

As these are coves and natural pools on volcanic rock, surfaces can be slippery, and it is advisable to swim with caution and follow the lifeguards' instructions.
