Los Cristianos is an old fishing village in the municipality of Arona, in the south of Tenerife, located between the Montaña de Guaza and the port. Its calm and clear waters make it suitable for snorkeling, diving, and sea kayaking routes that run along the coast towards the Guaza cliffs, a protected natural area. On these outings, it is possible to spot sea turtles and coastal wildlife.

The beaches of Los Cristianos and Las Vistas are public, with gradual access to the water and a promenade; kayaking and snorkeling excursions often depart from the beach itself.

Essential information

Accessibility

By car, you can reach it via the TF-1 (Los Cristianos exit); near the beach, there are paid parking lots, such as Parkia Playa de Los Cristianos (Avenida Valle Menéndez). By bus, Los Cristianos has a TITSA station/stop connected with the south of the island and with Santa Cruz (line 112). Los Cristianos Beach is classified as an accessible beach by the Cabildo of Tenerife (reserved parking, ramps, and walkways), and the promenade is flat and accessible for people with reduced mobility.

Risk Level

Snorkeling, diving, and sea kayaking trips skirt cliffs open to the ocean: check the sea and wind conditions, go with an operator or companion, and if you hike up to the Guaza Mountain Natural Monument, do not approach the edge of the cliffs (up to about 100 m drop) and bring water and appropriate footwear.
