The most magical night of the year in Tenerife. On June 23rd, beaches across the island fill with bonfires, music and celebration. Tradition calls for jumping over the flames for purification, swimming in the sea at midnight and burning papers with wishes. Celebrated in all coastal towns of Tenerife, from southern to northern beaches.

Practical Information

Celebrated the night of June 23rd to 24th. The best bonfires are at Playa de Las Teresitas (Santa Cruz), Puerto de la Cruz and southern beaches. Bring swimwear, towel and some food. Arrive early for a good spot near the bonfire.
