The most iconic beach of Tenerife is also perfect for families, with its characteristic golden sand brought from the Sahara (about 270,000 tons) and calm waters thanks to the breakwater located about 150 meters from the shore. Located next to the village of San Andrés, in the municipality of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, it was inaugurated on June 15, 1973, and measures about 1,300 meters long by 80 meters wide. It is bordered by palm trees and has lifeguard services, showers, toilets, restaurants, and play areas.
The gentle waves, softened by the breakwater, make it an ideal place to spend the day with the family.
