Mirador de Montaña Grande
Updated 2 August 2026
The Mirador de Montaña Grande is a little-known viewpoint located in the pine forest of Monte de La Esperanza, in the municipality of El Rosario, at an altitude of about 1,120 meters. It takes its name from Montaña Grande, one of the volcanic cones that characterize the area's relief. From its position, it offers a wide panorama towards the east of the island: the farmlands of El Rosario, the neighborhoods of Lomo Pelado and Las Rosas, the metropolitan area of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, and the Anaga massif.
To the south, the view reaches the Malpaís de Güímar and the coastal town of El Médano. The site is located in a clearing of the pine forest surrounded by centuries-old Canary pines and has informational panels and ample parking.
