Roque de Taborno
Updated 2 August 2026
The Roque de Taborno is a rocky peak of volcanic origin that reaches 706 meters in altitude and is one of the geological emblems of the Anaga Massif, in the north of Tenerife. Its pointed silhouette has earned it the nickname 'Matterhorn of Anaga'. It rises above the hamlet of Taborno, a small settlement in the Anaga district (municipality of Santa Cruz de Tenerife) located on the ridge that separates the ravines of Taborno and Afur.
It is accessible via a short circular route that starts from the hamlet itself and offers panoramic views of the ravines, cliffs, and the Anaga coast. The whole forms part of the Anaga Rural Park, Biosphere Reserve.
