Adeje Patron Saint Festivities

Octubre (día grande de la Virgen de la Encarnación, en domingo)

Adeje’s patron saint festivities fill October with events honouring its three patrons: the Virgen de la Encarnación, Santa Úrsula and San Sebastián. The main day is that of the Virgen de la Encarnación, which falls on a Sunday, with a solemn mass and a procession accompanied by a light and sound display through the streets of the old town. The programme mixes religious ceremonies with a folk festival, open-air dances, concerts and cultural events, and culminates in the Romería, established in the late 1970s as the closing act.
