Calle Herradores is the most commercial pedestrian shopping street in the historic center of San Cristóbal de La Laguna, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is one of the longest streets in the center, with a route of nearly one kilometer starting from the area around Plaza de San Cristóbal and Calle Barcelona and ending at Plaza del Doctor Olivera, next to the Church of Nuestra Señora de la Concepción, concentrating shops, local commerce, and terraces frequently visited by university students. Its name comes from the old blacksmiths and iron and forge artisans who were established there.
