The Mirador de Cruz del Carmen is located at an altitude of about 920 m in the heart of the Anaga Rural Park, in the municipality of San Cristóbal de La Laguna. From its viewpoint, built in 1934, you can see the Vega Lagunera, the city of La Laguna (a World Heritage Site), and in the background, the silhouette of Teide. The site is an old crossroads that connected the hamlets of Anaga with La Laguna and today serves as the gateway to the park.

Next to the viewpoint are the Anaga Visitor Center, inaugurated in 1995, and the chapel of Nuestra Señora del Carmen. It is also the starting point for several trails, including the well-known Path of the Senses.

Accessibility

Access via Las Mercedes road (TF-12), km 6; the Visitor Center is open daily (9:30-16:00, and 9:30-15:00 from July to September).

Risk Level

If you take the trails starting from the viewpoint, wear appropriate footwear and check the forecast, as the area is often foggy and humid due to its laurel forest environment.
