Festival of Our Lady of Remedies

Patronal festival in honor of Our Lady of Los Remedios, patron saint of Buenavista del Norte since 1659, commemorating the end of a locust plague. The main day is October 25th, and the celebrations extend approximately from October 17th to November 2nd. Every October 25th there is an annual procession through the streets of the town; additionally, every five years an extraordinary procession is held up to the Cruz del Carmen.
